In the previous chapter, we walked through building a holographic game for the HoloLens. Through this process, we gained experience using some of the core building blocks of MR applications, including using spatial mapping to understand the environment, making use of gaze and a cursor to infer the user's intent, placing holograms in the physical world, and user interaction using gestures. We also discussed the importance of adequate user feedback and its value in delivering an enjoyable user experience. In this chapter, we are going to do it all again, but this time, using HoloToolkit, an open source initiative from Microsoft to help accelerate HoloLens development. I hope that using the same concept will help illustrate how effective using the toolkit can be when developing for HoloLens and provide us with an opportunity...
