Stopping Word from automatically adding or changing text
A very common scenario (or issue) in Word happens when Word automatically inserts your name (or a company name) unexpectedly. How you prevent or update this automatic behavior depends on what information is being automatically populated or corrected in Word.
Sometimes, in Microsoft Word, when using features such as Track Changes or Comments, Word will automatically insert your name for you. However, you might find that Word thinks your correctly spelled name is misspelled and automatically correct it for you. And at other times, Word will just automatically insert your name or initials into your documents, or even some generic placeholder name instead, such as "author."
