We've explored MDM a bit, and now we'll cover its counterpart, MAM. MAM is popular in bring your own device (BYOD) scenarios and gives you the ability to manage just the apps on a device that connect to corporate data, and permits removing only the data associated with those managed apps. MDM, by comparison, manages the entirety of a device and permits removing all of a device's data.
The MAM policies you can create in Intune | Client apps could be app configuration policies or app protection policies. You'll also notice App selective wipe as an option, which allows you to remove only the corporate data from a user device.
