Basic concepts of fine-tuning resource assignments
Resource planning involves multiple aspects of design. How many resources are required and for how long? Project managers will also try to assemble the best team possible, that is, they'll plan to get the most bang for their buck (budget). Planning also involves the question of how to load resources during the different phases of the project and for any interim deliverables, such as a customer demo. Project provides some advanced tools to fine-tune resource assignments. We will study such tools later in the book, and will require an understanding of some resource management concepts.
