Troubleshooting notifications

In this recipe, we will look at how to troubleshoot problems related to notifications, such as determining whether a user is receiving notifications for an issue and determining the reason why a user might not be receiving notifications.

How to do it...

Go through the following steps to troubleshoot notification problems in Jira:

1. Navigate to Administration > System > Notification Helper.
2. Select the user that is not receiving the notifications as expected.
3. Select the issue for which the user is expected to receive notifications.
4. Select the notification event that should trigger the notification.
5. Click on Submit to start troubleshooting.
