WEF handling of mobile web applications

Now that we have briefly covered several aspects of mobile web applications, we can transition to look into the capabilities and features provided by WEF for developing mobile web applications.

Support for mobile web application came into picture in August of 2011 with the release of WEF 7.0.1. This support is added in the form of a WEF feature set named Mobile. You need to add this feature set in order to have access to the builders, themes, profile selection handler, UI themes, base profile sets, and other artifacts available to build mobile web applications.

WEF does not require you to learn new mobile technology or advanced mobile techniques in order to develop mobile web applications. In fact, WEF leverages and takes advantage of the same model-driven design approach with which you are already familiar.
