In this chapter, we have discovered two additional services offered by Google Cloud Platform: Google Cloud Storage, and Google Cloud SQL. Google Cloud Storage is a file hosting service that lets you store files in the cloud. We have seen how to store videos, music, photographs, databases or files, without knowing the physical location of data, from anywhere in the world, with any suitable device. We have performed the file uploading operations either using the browser or using the command line.
Afterward, we understood the potential of Google Cloud SQL for the creation of a relational database management system. Using Google Cloud SQL you can create, manage and administer relational databases. At first we discovered the characteristics of the service and later we learned to create a new database instance through a practical example.
