This is another option for achieving distributed transactions. The idea is to tail the database transaction log and publish each change as an event. The benefit with this pattern is that there is no change required at the application level; everything happens at the database level. Avoiding duplicate publishing is a bit difficult. This pattern ensures low-level DB changes, but it is quite difficult to determine the business-level events.
