Technical requirements

The following are the technical requirements that you need to have in place before building the example implementation at the end of this chapter:

• Set up Amazon SageMaker prerequisites. Follow the instructions on setting up the prerequisites to use Amazon SageMaker as described at the following link: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/gs-set-up.html.
• Complete the steps to set up SageMaker Canvas prerequisites. To achieve this, follow the instructions as described at the following link: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/Canvas-getting-started.html#Canvas-prerequisites. Make sure you are able to access the SageMaker Canvas console as indicated on the prerequisites page.

Note

You only need to complete the prerequisites section of SageMaker Canvas setup. Once you have access to the login screen, you do not need to complete the rest of the steps to complete the activity in the chapter.
