Creating watermarks
Watermarks have a surprisingly long history. They have been used since the 13th century, only on paper at that time. A mark of varied thickness was created while the paper was still wet, which is why it is called a watermark. In the digital world, watermarks refer to transparent images or text placed over page content, often to alert readers to a specific status of the publication. Version revision, confidential information, and copyright protection are among the uses of watermarks.
