Element Properties for renovation, function, and position
Gradually, we dive deeper into the information management aspects of models, starting with the Element Properties covered in the following subsections. They allow you to add more in-depth characteristics to the elements and they may even have a direct impact on the display and visibility of elements or their components.
Renovation status
Each element in Archicad has a setting to control its renovation status. You can indicate this to set the element in three possible states and they all relate to the activities that are planned during the construction project:
- Existing: This element is part of the building already before the construction starts and is intended to remain after the project finishes.
- To Be Demolished: This state indicates that the element will be removed during the construction works. In renovation projects, this is very important, as it helps with estimating the demolition efforts of the project...
