Swapping the Third Person Armature for a different character
For quick prototyping, the provided robot Third Person Character model is fine. But when making your own games, you’ll want to replace that model with a character in keeping with your game genre, such as magicians, elves, soldiers, merchants, zombies, and so on. In this recipe, we’ll import a free 3D character model from the Asset Store, and customize our scene to animate this new character rather than the default robot.

Getting ready
This recipe works on any scene using the Unity Third Person Character assets. So you could create a new project or work on a copy of a project from any of the earlier recipes in this chapter.
