Automation – Dramatically Helping Avoid Human Intervention
Can we imagine a world without machines? No way! All our daily activities as humans are dependent on machines, either via the machines that are found in factories and shop floors or the products manufactured using these machines, such as our electronic devices, packaged foods, beverages, clothes, automobiles, and so on. In general, most of the other inhabitants of planet Earth—by which I mean plants and animals—adapt to their environment. Humans, via their intellect, have taken a different approach. We adapt our environment to us, for our comfort. The main approach to the modification of our environment is the invention of machines.
There is, however, a flip side to this development. Among other things, tending to machines takes people’s time and attention away from other activities. Machines occupy most of our attention today. Just imagine waking up in the morning and not finding your phone next...
