The information management process
The main aim of the information management process is to capture, control, and disseminate all the knowledge, information, and data associated with the system and its development. This is of particular interest to MBSE as all the relevant knowledge, information, and data associated with a system is contained in the model as the single source of truth. In the context of MBSE, the information management process is primarily concerned with the management of the model. Indeed, all of the information management outcomes, activities, and tasks can be related directly back to MBSE in a slide, which was introduced in Chapter 2, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and has been referenced throughout this book.
