In this chapter, we’ve established the crucial, core nature of M365 groups. It gives us the connectivity and permission structure for sites, teams, communities, and more. Groups can be made with names of individuals added manually or dynamically. Since M365 groups can be created by any licensed user by default, we also explored the concept of governance. Provisioning, naming, expiration, and sensitivity labeling help our groups to work effectively and avoid redundancy.
At the close of each chapter, I want to summarize the information we’ve covered while also giving you a template to create your own SharePoint architect’s planning and governance guide. This chapter has shown the importance of understanding M365 groups as the foundation for teams and sites as well as other tools in the M365 toolbox.
