Setting up Jira Align

To get started with Jira Align, we will look at how to perform a quick setup using the information you discovered during the previous two phases: analyzing existing programs in Jira and mapping people, work, time, and outcomes. We will then onboard new users into Jira Align.

As part of organizational alignment for transformation, it is important that everyone speaks a common language. As illustrated in Figure 1.1, Alignment toward transformation by connecting strategy with execution, language helps an organization shape their culture by improving transparent communication flowing from leadership to the knowledge workers and vice versa. Experience has shown that it is important to keep the language as close to the common industry terminology or chosen framework as possible. This not only helps develop competencies internally, but also makes onboarding faster with effective communication when a new knowledge workforce joins an organization.
