In this chapter, we covered the idea of what a composition is, the universal idea of perspective and placement, where we can get images, common tools such as the Liquify and HSL Shift layers, and how to use workflows and applications for composition.
In the next chapter, we will cover another sought-after skill known as portrait retouching, which we can do using the healing tools available in Affinity Photo. The reason we have included this section first is that the process of retouching photos often involves recreating pieces using the problem-solving and composition techniques you learned about in this chapter.
