Summary
Throughout this chapter, we’ve looked at the tools that you can put into your toolbox to help you achieve a secure, robust design. This includes enterprise and application analytical and information-gathering techniques, as well as high-level security goals that will become part of your design process. Not every organization can or will establish every analytical or information-gathering tool; likewise, not every goal will be applicable to every organization for every use case. That said, it is important that we understand some of the goals that we might wish to ensure so that we can select implementation strategies to get us there. We’ll do this in the upcoming chapters.
In the next chapter, we will begin the process of applying these tools to the creation of designs for enterprise scope. There is still some information that we will need to gather, some questions we will need to answer, and buy-in and validation from stakeholders to gain. However, we can begin...
