Using the out-of-the-box export and import tools
If you haven’t used the out-of-the-box export and import tools of OmniStudio, here’s a quick introduction. Let’s begin by exporting a DataRaptor.

It’s always a good idea to export or clone a DataRaptor before you are about to touch it in any way. At the time of this writing, DataRaptors, unlike OmniScripts and Integration Procedures, do not have versions in most OmniStudio installations. And because they are point-and-click tools, it is often hard to see what has changed and easy to inadvertently break things. I’ve also noticed developers break OmniScripts by fixing DataRaptors—changing them to fit one OmniScript without realizing that other OmniScripts or Integration Procedures are using them. So, it’s very important to see what has changed and be able to go back to the previous state of your DataRaptors.
