Throughout this book, we have discussed ArcGIS Enterprise at length, and how to install, configure, and secure it. In this chapter, we discussed standards and best practices, which are often seen as rules, and no one likes to be told what to do. The key to working with standards and best practices is to think of them as guidance brought to you by those before you who have learned things the hard way. This is the knowledge that is being passed down to you to make your system run smoother and more efficiently.
