1. One day, a couple of years ago, I put together a list of some of the most illustrious clients easyDNS has, it included names such as Rasmus Lerdorf (PHP creator), Paul Graham (YCombinator), and Larry Wall (inventor of perl). I asked them why they used easyDNS as a vendor and how much of their decision had to do with our using Anycast DNS. Not one of them said, "It's because we need the anycast." More than half of them said, "What's Anycast?"
2. If you are going to be a DNS provider in any capacity, you will be DDOS-ed some day. Not if—when. Plan for it.
