Technical requirements

We will perform technical hands-on data gathering directly from a simulated industrial system such as a PLC. We will be taking the overall scenario a little deeper to allow you to understand how you can build on the examples to get started on projects. The code is more complex, but we attempt to explain it thoroughly. Hands-on deployment requires more advanced experience with Python, Modbus, AWS, IoT, and Linux administration. As always, we aim to make everything as understandable as possible. We will try to avoid too much complexity, but hands-on is required at this level. We encourage you to read through this chapter and then try it yourself. Mistakes will be made, and that’s how we learn.
