Storage sections
Storage type is divided into different areas known as storage sections. Storage sections group storage bins with similar products. You need to define a storage section for a storage type. You can have one storage section for one storage type.
To define the storage sections you can use the configuration path SPRO | Logistics Execution | Warehouse Management | Master Data | Define Storage Sections.
As shown in the following screenshot, a new storage section can be assigned to both the warehouse number and the storage type:

Typically, one storage section is assigned to one storage type, but you can also have multiple storage sections for a storage type. It all comes down to your business requirements as to how many storage sections need to be created for your storage type. Storage sections are important for bin determination during the stock removal process.
