Creating an Azure Maps account

To create an Azure Map account, open the Azure portal via https://portal.azure.com. Follow these next steps to create a new resource:

1. Open Marketplace to create a new resource.
2. Enter Azure Maps in the search box.
3. Click on the Create link to create an Azure Maps resource.

This will open a new window for creating an Azure Maps account. Now, execute the following steps:

1. Select your subscription.
2. Select our DigitalTwinsBook resource group.
3. Enter the name DTBMaps.
4. Select the Gen2 (Maps & Location Insights) pricing tier. This pricing tier is required to use the Azure Maps account in conjunction with TomTom. More information about pricing tiers can be found here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-maps/choose-pricing-tier.
