Docker
Docker can be thought of as a cyber-container. Have you ever gone out on a picnic lunch? How did you prepare, store, and distribute/carry your food? You packed it inside a container, right? Perhaps you had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or two, fruit such as an apple or banana, maybe some celery or carrot sticks, and a juice box or small bottle of water. Then, you placed all of those items inside a single unit. Maybe you called it a lunch box, a picnic basket, or something else. The point is you placed them all inside a container. Though related, they were still each unique with a unique purpose, working together to resolve a unified need – your nutritional need; your hunger. However, the container didn’t just include those items, did it? It also included things you depended on to smoothly enjoy those food items. It included eating utensils, napkins or wet wipes, and perhaps a spice packet or two. It included dependencies. It included everything you needed...
