Summary
In this chapter, we discussed what to look out for during a pentest and learned more details about what DoS, DDoS, and flooding attacks are. As we learned, these attacks can be extremely impactful and are made against AWS policies. We also learned about avoiding legal issues and how to mitigate any potential legal issues that may come up during a pentest. We finished off the chapter by discussing stress testing and what AWS customers can do in order to understand whether their environments should be subject to a load balancing test or not.
In the next, and final, chapter, we are going to explore some other projects that we can use to help strengthen our AWS methodology.
