We have taken a look at the features of the API Gateway service, the deployment modes, the pricing, and the security aspects of the service. API Gateway is a powerful tool for unifying the development of application communication. But since the tool is exposed on the network, any network engineer will need to understand how to control access and build advanced security mechanisms into the API Gateway service.
In the next chapter, we will delve even deeper into the monitoring and troubleshooting tools in AWS that will provide us with the ability to monitor and analyze the traffic flows as well as find issues with configurations and enhance the overall reliability and security of our network.
