Having worked in this world of Business Central development for over two decades, I did run into quite some methodologies and read about them. In the context of testing and test automation, for a long time my focus was explicitly on these topics per se. In the last couple of years, trying to get my team, and other teams too, facing the same direction, my focus turned more and more from app and test code implementation to the requirements, as you might have sensed above. In this turn someone pointed me to a book worthwhile reading, lifting the need for detailed test descriptions from the, surely my, context of test automation. If you can spare some time and money, you can go and read this book:
- Gojko Adzic, Specification by Example – How successful teams deliver the right software, Manning, 2011.
