Summary

In this chapter, we have learned Solr basic scripts like scripts.conf, init script, how to back up your Solr data using Replication requestHandler and the existing scripts from earlier Solr releases, configure both temporary and permanent Solr logs on Tomcat and Jetty, and collection distribution scripts which includes configuration of scripts, SSH and Rsyncd setups.

In the next chapter, we will learn about what are business rules and how to write one (for instance, Drools), Language detection, Natural Language Processing (for instance, OpenNLP), and various other Solr Operation tools.
