Summary
In this chapter, we learned more about wireless connectivity, which is the invisible but powerful force that allows IoT devices to deliver data. We discussed essential information about wireless data communication, investigated the energy-efficient BLE technology, and talked about the common Wi-Fi networks that connect our devices. Additionally, we explored the abilities and future possibilities of cellular networks such as 4G/LTE and the new 5G, which aim to design the use of IoT through LTE-M and NB-IOT.
In the next chapter, where we’ll dive into the cloud, we’ll shift our focus from how data is transmitted to the platforms where it is stored, processed, and analyzed.
