Using Live Migration in a cluster environment
One of the core concepts of a private cloud is elasticity and mobility. In a cluster environment, you can distribute running virtual machines across different servers, based on components and metrics such as workload, physical host resources, and VM availability. Using Live Migration, you can move virtual machines from one physical server to another without any downtime or disruption of the services provided by the VMs, making their reallocation to other servers possible with two or three clicks. For example, when you need to bring a host offline for maintenance, or when you need to add more hardware resources to a VM.
