The REVERT TO option lets you revert to a selected snapshot. This is particularly useful if you want to discard all of the changes that you have made to the virtual machine and return to a snapshot that's older than the most recent state of the virtual machine.

Getting ready
This process requires the use of the snapshot manager for the virtual machine. It is important to keep in mind that, if we revert to a virtual machine snapshot that doesn't have the memory content captured, it will result in the virtual machine being powered off.
