Chapter 7. vRealize Operations Manager Solutions

In this chapter, we will look at how vRealize Operations can be extended to manage more than just vSphere.

There is an ever expanding set of Solutions, or Management Packs, that can be downloaded and installed onto the vRealize Operations platform. These allow the vSphere Administrator to get the same insight, and management capabilities, with infrastructure and applications, that they do with the vSphere Solution we have been looking at so far.

We will show you where you can find the Management Packs, what comes with them, and how to install them.

Finally, in this chapter, we will also look at how you can use the PAK Manager to keep the vRealize Operations platform up to date.
