Accounts and Contacts
Two of the core objects in core platform clouds (such as Sales Cloud and Service Cloud) are Account and Contact. These two objects deserve a chapter of their own to describe the special behavior that the Salesforce platform gives to them.
In this chapter, we will cover the Account and Contact model, including Person Accounts and the Contacts to multiple Accounts enablement implications, Account Skew, and the implications this has on the performance of queries and reports. We’ll also look at the objects in the standard Salesforce data model that are associated with Accounts and Contacts.
