Finding and understanding Company Protection Policy
This recipe will cover the information you need to get started to design your client protection.
Getting ready
The client protection in DPM is really all about one thing: Company Protection Policy, also known as (CPP). This policy contains all the necessary information that DPM actually needs to start to provide protection that will, in the end, build an optimal restore scenario for the end user data.

- Allowing users to specify protection group members
- File type exclusion
- Synchronization frequency
- Recovery point creation
The folder inclusion and exclusion defines the folders that should be included in the company protection policy or the folders that should be excluded. The DPM administrator can choose between standard inclusion or exclusion options.
