Summary

This chapter reviewed SOBRs and some of the newest enhancements within Veeam Backup & Replication v12. We covered what is new with SOBR and direct-to-object storage for the performance tier. We also looked at VeeaMover and what it is, including its use cases. Finally, we looked at the SOBR Rebalance feature, which helps with data distribution between extents, and backing up exports to another repository or local/shared folder.

Hopefully, you will have gained a better understanding of some of the latest features to be added to the SOBR. The next chapter, Tape Server and Other Enhancements, will dive deep into the newest tape server role enhancements.
