Planning and implementing MFA
This section goes into detail on how to implement MFA for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). We will navigate the process step by step. The benefit of MFA is that it provides an extra layer of security for users, and only the user with access to the token can log in, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to the network and IT resources.
The prerequisites for getting started are as follows:
- First, you need to assign a license to users that include Entra ID Premium P1 or P2.
- You also need to create a new Entra ID group for MFA and ensure that the users you want to assign MFA to are included.
- You must ensure that you assign users a license that includes an Entra ID Premium P1 or P2 license.
- Ensure you enable Azure MFA for all required users.
