Summary
This chapter of the book is dedicated to helping you understand the palate that you have available to you for creating just about any sound you need in LMMS. In previous chapters we have laid out LMMS' interface, various editors, and talked about making arrangements in different styles, but I wanted to give you some synthesis chops so that you didn't have to go to presets every time you felt inspired to start a project.
Entire projects have bloomed from nights where I've been sitting with an instrument, exploring and making dynamic sounds. The process of synthesis is inspirational to me, and I hope that I can instill the same passion in you that I have for making interesting timbres that have never existed before. It's like cooking with ingredients that you made from scratch instead of buying a box from the store. Using these instruments to their potential, you can create a unique voice for yourself.
