Accessing your home automation system from anywhere
In this last recipe, we are going to see how to access your home automation system from anywhere in the world. To do this, we are going to use the Ngrok software that will allow us to tunnel a connection to your home automation system from the outside.
Getting ready
For this recipe, you will need the project from the previous recipe running on your Galileo board.
The first step is to get the Ngrok software. You can get it from the following location:
Carefully follow the installation instructions for your operating system. The goal at the end is to have Ngrok installed on your computer and to be able to access it from a terminal.
Note that all the data will go through the Ngrok servers, so if you have sensitive data on your Galileo board or your board is used to control important devices, this might be something to think about.
Of course, your board also needs to be connected to the Internet at this point.
