Operation at scale
Once the MVP is deployed on a production or stage environment, the next goal is to satisfy the performance, resilience, security, and scalability of the applications migrated as part of the MVP or wave. The preparation for operations starts in the previous Designing and building MVPs or Waves section by setting up the following items:
- A blueprint
- A CI/CD pipeline
- A test framework
- Governance and a regulatory framework
- An automated process for operations
A continuous evaluation and learning process is established to understand the MVP and ensure that each MVP is better than the last one. Operation at scale leverages different practices such as SRE, Development and Security Operations (DevSecOps), policy as code, identity and access control, and infrastructure as code.
