Integrating public data sources with Download tool use

Public data provides an excellent resource for enriching internal data sources with other supporting data. Government agencies are an ideal resource for getting economic, business, environmental, education, or other national datasets. These datasets often provide information at local levels for planning and are freely available. One such dataset is the consumer price inflation time series (CPI) from the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS). You can find this dataset at the following URL:

You will find a regularly updated file and links to old versions archived for reference at this static location. We can easily download files published in this way with the Download tool.
