So your site got hacked? Or did it? Either way, if it's giving you grief, let's put it right.

Let's be shrewd though. It's all too common to hear of WordPress sites getting hacked over and over, administrators addressing the symptoms but, without tackling the root cause, wondering why they're so unlucky. They aren't unlucky. They just keep applying band-aids without cleaning the wound and, guess what, infections come back.

After troubleshooting, there are two elements to solving a site problem:

• Fix the obvious issues

• Correct the underlying problem
