Populating charts
Dashboards are very popular, and managers love them, but why? Because they provide important information at a glance about the current status of the business without the need to sift through large sets of numbers to retrieve statistics, and help managers make important business decisions. Charts play an important role in business by displaying comparisons or changes in data over time in a simple-to-understand graphical way. Managers use charts in meetings with upper management, stakeholders, and external clients when presenting information. These people know little or nothing about the finer details of the business and will not relate to numbers alone, but they will relate to a well-presented chart.
