Modifying Essbase settings to improve calculation performance
In this recipe, we will execute a few steps that should improve the performance of your calculation script. This recipe is meant to be used as a list of components that you should consider. This is not a one-size-fits-all list of steps as there may be many factors that you have to take into account. We will discuss some of the other points you should consider. This recipe only applies to the BSO model.
Getting ready
To get started, click on the Start menu and navigate to Program | Oracle EPM System | Essbase | Essbase Administration Services | Start Administration Services Console. In the Log in menu, enter your Administration Server, Username, Password, and click the Log in button.
How to do it...
Drill down on the Essbase Server in EAS, expand the Applications node, drill down on the Sample application, right-click on the Basic database, click on Edit, and then on Properties.
