ESXi configuration

When the installation of the ESXi host is complete, there is some configuration you need to do to connect the hypervisor with the network infrastructure. Let’s walk-through the main settings you should configure.

Management console configuration

By default, ESXi is configured to receive the IP address for the management console through Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). If no DHCP server is present in your network, the hypervisor doesn’t obtain any IP and you won’t be able to connect.
