Summary
You now have an understanding of the primary responsibilities that an SE has. These responsibilities may arise at different times, as well as at different tempos. In other words, you may have three PoCs ongoing and be surprised when an RFI is sent to you and it’s also due next week! Have no fear; we will address how to manage workload and time in a later chapter. For now, it’s important to understand the SE’s key responsibilities in the pre-sales process for future reference.
In the next chapter, we will revisit these responsibilities as we discuss the types of sales engineering roles that exist throughout the industry.
