Summary
In this chapter, we have learned about the Plots
and Makie mechanisms for arranging plots into complex figures. Having briefly touched on the topic in previous chapters, this one has gone deeper into the description of their layout system. In particular, we have seen more detail on how we can organize subplots using the Plots
package. We have also expanded the concepts explored previously in creating grid layouts using Makie and Gadfly
. We will find this knowledge valuable when creating plot panels and complex figures for publication in different media. In the case of Makie, this will also help us create interactive applications.
In the following chapter, we will learn to use the different plot attributes to customize the aspects of axes, legends, and colors.
