Connecting your home automation system to the Web
In this recipe, we are going to connect our home automation system to the Web. It's great to have Wi-Fi modules measuring temperature and humidity, but it would be cool to have the outside temperature displayed as well.
We are going to simply upgrade the interface that we created in the previous chapter as we don't want to have another Wi-Fi module outside of your home, so that it grabs the data from the Web and displays it in the same interface.
Getting ready
In order to complete this recipe, you will need to have finished the previous recipe and have the home automation system running with the graphical interface.
How to do it...
We are now going to see how to modify the different files from the previous recipe so that we can display the external temperature and humidity at your location.
