Summary
In this chapter, we learned about the leading indicators of failure in IDT projects, as well as looking at case studies for examples of failed initiatives. We compared large IDT initiatives and critically analyzed their success and failures. Finally, we looked at the growing importance of cybersecurity, which could derail transformations if ignored.
In Chapter 10, Measuring the Value of Transformation, we will learn about ways to consider the benefits of IDT in terms of new digital revenues, productivity and efficiency gains, and societal benefits.
