Section 2 – Applying Biometric Technologies
In this section, we’ll cover commonly used biometrics, such as fingerprint, face, iris, and voice recognition. You’ll learn how each of our unique features is extracted for comparison for each biometric. We’ll then review the advantages and disadvantages of the various technologies, and then outline some of the lesser-known biometrics, such as gait, signature dynamics, and tattoos.
This part of the book comprises the following chapters:
- Chapter 5, Implementing Fingerprint Technology
- Chapter 6, Using Facial Recognition
- Chapter 7, Learning Iris Recognition
- Chapter 8, Using Voice Recognition
- Chapter 9, Considering Alternate Biometrics
